Natural Therapy does not fight a disease; instead it "treats to support" an individual person's ability to improve health.

The Medical System is a DIRECT disease treatment. - The Natural system is an INDIRECT treatment system.

Both systems are needed, neither is right or wrong.

NOTE: Governing Health Bodies need to consider the patient, and ask the question: "Why do people seek those alternative treatments?"

ANSWER: Patients are NOT getting the advice or support needed from their medical practitioner!

Alexander Technique:

A technique (AT), named after Frederick Alexander. - The "Active Preventative Principles" of AT work well for patients seeking to prevent decline in postural integrity and for stress related reasons. The practitioner, "actively, "works and"educates" their clients in the process that develops the ability to realign posture and to avoid unnecessary muscular and mental tension.

This technique is often preferred by professional singers/vocalists, musicians, actors, dancers or athlete, who aim to perform at their full potential, while preventing unnecessary strains or stresses and attributed side effects. 

There is No medical treatment to replace the "active preventative" support the Alexander Technique has to offer.

Aroma Therapy:

Aroma Therapy is a natural healing technique incorporating essential plant oils - aroma oils.

The "Active Preventative Principles" are tailored to each individual's requirements, the oils are carefully selected to "assist" in restoring physical and emotional wellbeing.

This technique is often preferred by people who feel sensitive to stress and function better with "preventative" calming and relaxing healing techniques, as well as for the preventative action of essentials oils in skin applications.

Essential Oils are very potent and are NOT to be used un-diluted for skin applications.

NOTE: All essential oils have functional scientific evidence, and can be used for aroma therapy, household cleaning products, personal beauty care and natural medicine preventative treatments.

Ayurveda:

Ayurveda is one of the oldest traditional healing system practiced. The sanskrit term 'Ayurveda' is composed of two words- Ayus + Veda.
Ayus means life and Veda means knowledge, Ayurveda is science of life.

As the science of life, it is primarily concerned with working for achieving a complete physical, mental and social well-being!

Ayurveda, can Not be limited to the reduction methodology of NHMRC, seeing a specific disease and treatment in isolation.

Ayurveda is Lifestyle, Philosophy and Active Prevention all in one.

The "Active Preventative Principles" are tailored to people who are dedicated to improve their health and wellbeing.

Ayurveda is also essential as an Active Preventative Health Care System of "ethnicity"!

To devalue Ayurveda can be seen as devaluating a culture.

In any form of treatment, the individuality of a person has to be considered. The disease is NOT the patient.

Bowen Therapy:

The Bowen Technique, developed by Tom Bowen - Australia, is supporting muscle and connective tissue health care.

It is not intended to treat a muscular "Disease", it is intended to support patient in overcoming muscle and connective tissue discomfort, as well as stress related tension problems.

The "Active Preventative Principles" are tailored to "individual" people who are suffering from muscular discomfort. Clinical evidence has shown to alleviate pain and stiffness.

There is No medical treatment to replace the "active preventative" health and lifestyle support Bowen Therapy has to offer.

Buteyko:

Buteyko is a breathing technique, providing improvements of symptoms for any breathing-related conditions.

The "Active Preventative Principles" are tailored to "individual" people who are suffering from breathing-related conditions. There are no "claims" that it is "treating" any diseases. Indeed learning specific breathing techniques is one of the "core" Active Prevention techniques.

Feldenkrais:

The Feldenkrais Method ® is named after its originator, Dr Moshe Feldenkrais (1904-1984). It offers an enjoyable way to increase ease and pleasure of movement and enhance overall health.

Herbalism/western herbalism:

A Herbalist uses the beneficial effects of Herbs to aid and support health.

Herbal Medicine, some argue, is the oldest form of medicine, and even today, is still the first choice in many cultures, being successfully used for thousands of years.

Herbalists prepare and mix unique tinctures defined to the individual, after consultations with clients that will include a case study about lifestyle, diet, family health and personal medical history.

Herbal preparations are especially useful for a truly holistic and individual treatment as the y can be formulated and mixed according to a client needs. The term medical herbalist simply means that a Herbalist is properly trained in the science of herbal pharmacology and prescribing

The "Active Preventative Principles" are tailored to "individual" people to prevent health issues deteriorating.

NOTE: The medical use of herbal substances are that of isolating an active constituent and use that as a 'treatment' for a specific disease. Subsequently the action is potencies and may do harm or cause side effects.

Herbalism instead is NOT treating a specific disease, it is supporting an individual system for better functioning and prevention.
A mixture of herbs has the added benefit of synergist herbal action without side effect.

Homeopathy:

Homeopathy is a Natural Therapy System based on the belief that the body given the right circumstances, can cure itself. Homeopaths use tiny amounts of special prepared natural substances to stimulate the healing process. - Based on like cures like. The treamtnet is always directed to a complete patinet picture. The combined sihns and symproms are used to come up with the one remedy which matches this patinet picture most closly.

There is just No medical treatment like this availabe. - Medical treatment specifies a treatment for one disease at a time.

Iridology:

Iridology is the study of patterns and structures in the iris of the eye. It locates areas and stages of strength, weaknesses, irritation, under or over-activity, congestion and possible inflammation throughout the body.

Active Preventative Principles: The iris is a good indication of body constitution, showing inherent strengths and weaknesses, and an ideal indicator for preventative health suggestion.

Iridology is not a diagnostic tool to name a specific disease, as often suggested by the skeptic(1) movement.

However, together with taking a health history and other diagnostic procedures, the iridologist may conclude that a certain problem in a body exist and will endeavour to support the body to overcome that condition.

NOTE: Iridology is only one part of the over all health history taking process. it is NOT intended to be the only way to look for indications of weaknesses. 

Kinesiology

Kinesiology is a muscle testing technique, and a very versatile Natural Healing Modality, which can be used and applied in many different forms.

Kinesiology, the term originated in the Greek language, meaning the study of motion; in particular it is monitoring coordinated muscle movement.

Naturopathy

Where do I begin, how can a body like the NHMRC who does not understand the principles of Naturopathy, and is influenced by misinformation, even be allowed to make statements like they did?

There is simply no equivalent to Naturopathy within the medical system. To rule Naturopathy with medical standards, shows already the misunderstanding of this vital Holistic Treatment and Preventative Modality.

A key advantage of Naturopathy is the holistic nature and the ability to "Activate a Patient", where the patient is actually actively involved into their own health recovery or improvement. The Medical System, has a limited view by concentrating on specific diseases, instead of the patient. The Medical System also keeps the patient mostly "Passive", and The Medical System has NO Active Preventative Treatment. (Vaccination is Passive prevention)
